North Carolina progressive bluegrass band formed at UNC Chapel Hill in 1999. Broke wider with Steve Martin collaborations; won a Grammy for Nobody Knows You and earned a 2011 nomination for Rare Bird Alert. Teamed with Boyz II Men on Be Still Moses.

Peter Rowan

Wayland, Massachusetts-born Grammy-winning roots and progressive bluegrass artist Peter Rowan is a guitarist, singer, and yodeler. He played with Bill Monroe’s Blue Grass Boys and Old & in the Way, and released signature solo album New Moon Rising (1988).
