Peter Rowan and Los Texmaniacs

Grammy-winning roots artist Peter Rowan, born in Wayland, MA, is a key figure in progressive bluegrass. Known for guitar, yodeling, and mandolin, he collaborated with Jerry Garcia, David Grisman, and Tony Rice. His bands include Earth Opera and Old & in the Way. Notable solo albums are New Moon Rising and Dust Bowl Children. Rowan's collaborations feature Ricky Skaggs and Gillian Welch, with projects ranging from Tex-Mex to Hawaiian styles.

Los Texmaniacs, formed by Max Baca in 1997, are Grammy-winning Tex-Mex conjunto masters, blending traditional sounds with rock, blues, and jazz. With roots in New Mexico and San Antonio, they are known for Max Baca's legendary bajo sexto. They earned a Grammy for "Borders y Bailes" and contributed to the Grammy-winning "A Tribute to the King of Zydeco." Max Baca is also a Conjunto Music Hall of Fame inductee. Collaborations include Flaco Jimenez and Lyle Lovett.
