Pigeon Pit and Apes of the State

Apes of the State, a folk punk band from Lancaster, PA, began as April Hartman's project. Their sound mixes folk, punk, emo, and bluegrass, featuring powerful vocals and clever, honest lyrics about life and addiction. Known for a DIY ethos, popular songs include "I Listened" and "Bill Collectors Theme Song." They released the album "What's Another Night?" in 2025.
