Dan Tyminski, born in Vermont, is a renowned bluegrass musician known for his banjo, mandolin, and vocals. He's collaborated with Alison Krauss, Avicii, and was George Clooney's singing voice in "O Brother Where Art Thou." Tyminski's hit "Hey Brother" with Avicii highlighted his versatile talent.
PineCone, the Piedmont Council of Traditional Music, originated in Raleigh, NC, in 1984. Founded by Wayne and Margaret Martin, Ron Raxter, and Beverly Young, it preserves, presents, and promotes traditional folk music and dance, including bluegrass and old-time. Known for its concert series, jams, workshops, youth programs, and the Raleigh Wide Open festival, PineCone celebrates roots music.
