LineUp

Founded in 1896, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has been led by prominent conductors such as Victor Herbert, Fritz Reiner, and Manfred Honeck. The Grammy-nominated ensemble launched widespread radio broadcasts in 1936 and amassed a large recording catalog.
Dvorak's Eighth Symphony is a symphony composed by Antonín Dvořák in 1889. The work consists of four movements: Allegro con brio, Adagio, Allegretto grazioso, and Allegro ma non troppo. It is widely recognized for its cheerful, optimistic tone and its reflection of Czech folk music.
Austrian conductor Manfred Honeck (born in Nenzing) has led the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra since 2008, specializing in late Romantic repertory. His Bruckner: Symphony No. 9 album (2019) with Pittsburgh earned a Grammy nomination.
