Pop Evil with Oni and Devour the Day

Michigan-born modern rock band Pop Evil, led by Leigh Kakaty, known for thunderous, heavy riffs and raw lyrics; hits include “Trenches” and “Torn to Pieces.”

Oni is a Canadian alternative metal project founded in Windsor, Ontario, in 2014 by vocalist and songwriter Jake Oni, who serves as its primary creative driving force. Initially formed as a progressive metal band featuring a unique xylo-synth player, the group established its foundation with their 2016 debut album Ironshore before transitioning into a more streamlined metalcore and modern progressive sound. Often operating as a solo project bolstered by high-profile guest collaborators and a shifting lineup, Oni officially added guitarist Jared Dines as a permanent member in 2024 and has released notable subsequent projects, including the albums Loathing Light and The Silver Line, alongside the Genesis EP series.
