Kaonashi is a Philadelphia, PA band formed in 2012, known for their genre-bending blend of metalcore, hardcore, mathcore, post-hardcore, and progressive metal. Their emotionally intense music often weaves a compelling narrative, notably the "Lemon House saga." Albums include "I Want To Go Home." (2025), "Dear Lemon House, You Ruined Me: Senior Year" (2021), and EPs like "The 3 Faces of Beauty" (2024). Popular songs include "I Hate the Sound of Car Keys" and "When I Say." They have collaborated with artists such as Anthony Green.
Protest the Hero, from Whitby, Ontario, blends technical metal and post-hardcore. Known for albums like *Kezia* and *Fortress*, they’ve toured with Korn and Sum 41, and won Best Indie Metal Band at the 2004 Indie Music Awards.
