Nashua, New Hampshire-born Grammy winner Ray LaMontagne makes folk-rock with soulful grit. His debut Trouble (2004) led to Billboard 200 #3 albums including Gossip in the Grain and God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise, which won Best Contemporary Folk Album.
Toronto songwriter Tamara Lindeman leads The Weather Station. Emerging from Toronto’s folk scene, she released East EP (2008), The Line (2009) and All of It Was Mine (2011), earned a SOCAN Songwriting Prize nomination, and expanded into rock on 2017’s The Weather Station.
