Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), born in Salzburg, Austria, was a classical child prodigy. He composed over 600 masterpieces across genres like opera, symphony, and chamber music. Known for his elegant, balanced style, his famous works include "The Marriage of Figaro," "Don Giovanni," "The Magic Flute," and Symphony No. 40. He is considered one of Western music's greatest composers.
Franz Joseph Haydn, born in Rohrau, Austria, was a pivotal Classical composer. Known as the "Father of the Symphony" and "Father of the String Quartet," his prolific output includes 104 symphonies and 68 string quartets. His innovative style, marked by wit and humor, shaped instrumental music. Notable works include the "London" symphonies and oratorios like "The Creation." He influenced Mozart and taught Beethoven.
The Reading Symphony Orchestra is an American professional symphony orchestra based in Reading, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1913, it is one of the United States' longest continuously operating symphonies, providing classical masterworks, pops concerts, and extensive educational programs to Berks County and beyond. The orchestra is currently led by music director Andrew Constantine.
