Kolohe Kai is the Pacific Island reggae project of Oahu-born singer/songwriter Roman De Peralta. Blending ukulele localism with roots reggae, pop and R&B, he released This Is The Life (2009) and the award-winning Paradise (2013) and Summer To Winter (2019).

King Yellowman

Winston Foster, better known by his stage name Yellowman or King Yellowman, is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall deejay. Abandoned as a child and raised in orphanages including the Alpha Boys School, he overcame severe social discrimination due to his albinism to launch his professional career by winning the Tastee Talent Contest in 1979. Partnering with producer Henry "Junjo" Lawes, he achieved international stardom in the early 1980s with hits like Mister Yellowman and Zungguzungguguzungguzeng, becoming the first dancehall artist signed to a major American label (Columbia Records). Initially famous for his high-energy performances and sexually explicit "slackness" lyrics, he later survived battles with skin and throat cancer, transitioning his music toward spiritual and socially conscious themes in the 1990s.
