Red Hot Summer Tour is an acclaimed Australian live music event, originating in 2011. It celebrates legendary homegrown talent, primarily showcasing rock, pop, blues, and country acts in vibrant outdoor settings. Known for its relaxed festival atmosphere and commitment to Australian music history, it has featured iconic artists like Paul Kelly, Jimmy Barnes, Hunters & Collectors, and Missy Higgins.
Born in Glasgow and raised in Adelaide, Jimmy Barnes rose as Cold Chisel’s frontman before a solo career blending bluesy hard rock with soul/R&B. His signature song is Working Class Man. Set the Australian record for most ARIA no. 1 albums.
Formed in Perth in 2004, Birds of Tokyo are one of Australia’s most popular contemporary rock bands. Top 10 airplay hits include Plans, Lanterns and This Fire. One of Triple J’s most played artists, they’ve won APRA Rock Work of the Year five times.
Sarah McLeod is a founding member of 3-time ARIA Award-winning band The Superjesus and an inductee into the South Australian Music Hall of Fame. She’s released 3 albums with the band plus 3 solo albums, and has performed in American Idiot and Jane Eyre.
New Zealand-born rock singer Jon Stevens, now based in Melbourne, Australia. A successful solo artist, he’s best known as lead singer of Noiseworks and has also fronted INXS and the Dead Daisies. His single Shimmer is out now.
Australian hard rock quartet Baby Animals formed in 1990 after vocalist Suze DeMarchi returned to Perth. Their self-titled debut went multi-platinum in Australia, followed by Shaved and Dangerous. They later reunited, releasing Il Grande Silenzio and 2013’s This Is Not the End.
