Reggae Fest, an international concert and festival brand, originated in New York City. Capleton, aka “The Fireman,” is a reggae and dancehall voice known for conscious lyrics, spiritual themes, and militant delivery. Rising in the early ’90s, he earned global recognition with songs like Tour and Jah Jah City.
Kingston, Jamaica dancehall duo Tanto Metro (Mark Wolfe) and Devonte (Wayne Passley) formed in the late ’90s. They scored a major 1997 hit with “Everyone Falls in Love,” later issuing the album Everyone Falls in Love and full-lengths like The Beat Goes On.
Born in Jamaica, Shenseea is known for her dynamic patois rhymes and dancehall reworkings. Collaborations with Kanye West, Christina Aguilera, and Major Lazer highlight her genre versatility. Her debut album ALPHA features artists like 21 Savage and debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Reggae chart.
Alkaline, a leading figure in reggae-dancehall, is known for his mysterious persona and hip-hop-influenced style. His debut album, "New Level Unlocked," topped Billboard and stayed on the chart for 18 weeks. With millions of global streams, he's an influential independent Caribbean artist.
Born in Jamaica, Mr. Vegas blends singing & toasting in dancehall tracks like "Heads High" & "Nike Air." Hits UK charts, collaborates with Sean Paul & Shaggy. Briefly retired in 2008, returned with own label, MV Music. Recently turned to gospel music.
Dancehall star Elephant Man (O'Neil Bryan), born in Kingston, Jamaica, is famed for hits like "Pon di River, Pon di Bank." His energetic style led to collaborations with Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, and Major Lazer. Known for his vibrant stage presence and popular tracks like "Log On" and "Nuh Linga," he achieved success with albums such as "Good 2 Go" and "Let's Get Physical."
Kingston-born Bounty Killer, a fiery '90s dancehall icon, is known for hits like "Hip-Hopera" and "Deadly Zone." He fused hardcore dancehall with hip-hop, collaborating with the Fugees, Busta Rhymes, and No Doubt. His gritty style and lyrical feuds, especially with Beenie Man, shaped his raw, socially aware sound. Grammy-nominated for "Ghetto Dictionary: The Mystery", he remains a key figure in Jamaican music history.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Tony Matterhorn is a dancehall DJ known for his energetic live shows and hit "Dutty Wine." He won the 2000 Dancehall World Cup.
