Richard Bona presents his Asante Trio after three sold-out nights in 2023. He is back at Birdland with more Afrobeat, Afrocentric, and Afro-Cuban influences. The legendary bass player, performer, and producer, Richard Bona, has embarked on a new musical journey with his trio - Asante - a name coming from a Kiswahili origin that means Thank You.

Super talented rising star Jesus Pupo from Cuba is on piano and Ludwig Afonso from the US is on drums.
