Philadelphia rock band the Hooters scored mid-’80s hits like “And We Danced” and “All You Zombies.” Led by Rob Hyman and Eric Bazilian, they mixed rock, folk and ska, and signed to Columbia for 1985’s Nervous Night.

The Tubes

The Tubes, formed in Phoenix, Arizona, were known for satirical, theatrical rock shows with characters like Quay Lewd. Hits include "White Punks on Dope" and "She's a Beauty." Collaborated with Todd Rundgren and achieved success with "Completion Backwards Principle." Reunited in 1993 and continued touring, despite various breakups.
