London-born guitarist and singer Lita Ford rose from the all-girl hard rock band the Runaways to a solo career. Her 1988 album Lita spawned the hit Kiss Me Deadly and Ozzy Osbourne duet Close My Eyes Forever.
Adelaide-born Australian guitarist/singer Orianthi is a hard rock virtuoso. She opened for Steve Vai, jammed with Carlos Santana, and was picked for Michael Jackson’s This Is It band. Her 2009 album Believe spawned the hit “According to You.”
