Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning Ty Herndon, born in Alabama, burst onto the country scene with the 1995 No. 1 hit "What Mattered Most." His debut album had the biggest first-week shipment in Epic Records Nashville history. Known for hits like "Living in a Moment" and "It Must Be Love," he came out as gay in 2014, pioneering The Concert for Love and Acceptance. In 2020, he topped iTunes with "Orphans of God," featuring Kristin Chenoweth and Paul Cardall. He continues supporting LGBTQ youth through his Foundation For Love & Acceptance.
Born in Kentucky, Ricky Skaggs is a Bluegrass/Country legend with 15 GRAMMYs® and multiple Hall of Fame inductions. Known for hits like "Hearts Like Ours" with wife Sharon White, he also authored "Kentucky Traveler."
Rodney Crowell, born in Houston, Texas, became a key figure in country's new traditionalist movement. Known for blending Texas singer/songwriter vibes with rock, he penned hits for Emmylou Harris, Crystal Gayle, and Bob Seger. His 1988 album Diamonds & Dirt featured five number one singles. Crowell collaborated with Rosanne Cash, Mary Karr, and Jeff Tweedy, and has released acclaimed albums like Tarpaper Sky and The Chicago Sessions. California-born Jeffrey Steele is a renowned country artist and songwriter known for hits by Faith Hill and Trisha Yearwood. He earned acclaim with Boy Howdy, winning Best Bassist and Best Male Vocalist. Notable songs include "She'd Give Anything" and collaborations with Al Anderson. His debut album "Somethin' in the Water" featured his own writing and production. Steele's early music influences included family and diverse genres, blending rock and country.
