California rock band Rooney, led by Robert Schwartzman, is known for its retro guitar pop. They debuted with the self-titled album in 2003, gaining fame after their appearance on The O.C. The band's notable music includes "Calling the World," which charted on Billboard. They've toured with Kelly Clarkson and collaborated with producers like Keith Forsey and John Fields. Rooney recorded with Geffen and Warner Bros., later going independent. The band experienced lineup changes and Schwartzman pursued solo projects before releasing "Washed Away" in 2016.
