Norwegian singer Roy Khan, from Elverum, is celebrated for his powerful, operatically trained vocals in progressive and symphonic metal. He gained renown as the frontman for Conception and Kamelot, co-writing many of Kamelot's popular songs. His distinctive style is featured on albums like Kamelot's The Black Halo and Conception's State of Deception. Khan has also contributed to projects with Avantasia and Maestrick, and is developing a solo album.
