Cincinnati-born Roy Rogers, originally Leonard Franklin Slye, co-founded the Sons of the Pioneers, known for "Tumbling Tumbleweeds." He became a movie and TV cowboy icon, starring in films with Trigger and partnering with Dale Evans. Notably, he owned rights to his name and merchandise, making him a cultural figure. His hit song "Happy Trails" became famous on The Roy Rogers Show. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and collaborated with legends like Emmylou Harris and Randy Travis. He passed away in Victorville, CA, in 1998.
