LineUp

The legacy of Rush occupies a unique, towering space in the pantheon of rock music. For over four decades, bassist/keyboardist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson, and the late drumming maestro Neil Peart operated not just as a band, but as a masterclass in progressive rock. Here are some of the most prominent and respected Rush tribute bands currently on the circuit: Lotus Land, YYNOT, Sun Dogs, A Farewell to Kings (AF2K), New World Men, Moving Pictures, The Rush Experience.
Moving Pictures, formed by Alex Smith and Gary Frost, became famed for their 1982 Australian chart-topper "What About Me?," winning Best Single at the Countdown Awards. Their debut album, "Days of Innocence," also topped charts post the single's release. Signed by Elektra for a U.S. tour, they faced setbacks when the label folded. Their second album, "Matinee," hit No. 16 in Australia. Known for a robust live act, they toured Japan before internal changes led to disbandment in 1987.
