The Ruts, formed in late '70s West London, fused punk, reggae, and dub, producing hits like "Babylon's Burning." Active in Rock Against Racism, they opened for the Damned and collaborated with Laurel Aitken. After singer Malcolm Owen's 1980 death, the band reformed as Ruts D.C. In 2007, they reunited with Henry Rollins for a benefit, recording again and releasing music until 2013.
