American musician Laraaji, born in Philadelphia, is a new age icon known for meditative soundscapes using altered zither, dulcimer, and natural sounds. Discovered by Brian Eno, he gained fame with "Ambient 3: Day of Radiance." He has collaborated with artists like Bill Laswell and Blues Control.
