Sant Andreu Jazz Band

The Sant Andreu Jazz Band, directed by Joan Chamorro, was formed in 2006 in Barcelona's Sant Andreu neighborhood. Known for nurturing young jazz talents like Andrea Motis and Eva Fernández, the band has released 10 CDs/DVDs and 14 more albums through "Joan Chamorro presenta." Over 60 youth, ages 7 to 21, have been part of the band. They've performed at global festivals and starred in the award-winning documentary "A Film About Kids and Music" by Ramon Tort, collaborating with jazz legends such as Jesse Davis and Wycliffe Gordon.
