Shake Russell

Shake Russell, born Oren Russell in Independence, Missouri, is a Texas music legend known for his Americana folk-rock. A prolific songwriter, he penned hits like "Deep in the West" and "You've Got a Lover," recorded by artists including Clint Black and Ricky Skaggs. He has received BMI Million-Air and Writer's Awards, and Texas Music Association's Entertainer of the Year and Lifetime Achievement awards. He has released over 30 albums, including "Chasing the Song" and "Gold to Me".
