Shining, originating from Oslo, Norway in 1999, is celebrated for its genre-defying sound. Led by Jørgen Munkeby, the band pioneered "Blackjazz," blending avant-garde metal, jazz fusion, and progressive rock. Known for pushing musical boundaries, they have earned multiple accolades, including two Alarm Prizes and a Spellemannprisen for "Innovator of the year." Their discography includes acclaimed albums like "Blackjazz" and "Animal," and they have collaborated with artists such as Enslaved.
