Simon Frederick St George Kirke is an English rock drummer and songwriter best known as a co-founder and member of the bands Free and Bad Company. Born in London and raised on the Welsh border, he picked up the drums as a teenager and co-founded Free in 1968, achieving massive international success with the hit single "All Right Now." Following Free's dissolution in 1973, he teamed up with Paul Rodgers to form the supergroup Bad Company, serving as their only continuous member throughout every lineup and co-writing their eponymous title track. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, he has released several solo albums, toured multiple times with Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2025 as a member of Bad Company.
