Sir Mix-A-Lot, born in Seattle, skyrocketed to fame with his Grammy-winning hit "Baby Got Back," known for its playful take on beauty standards. A pioneer of Seattle's hip-hop scene, he co-founded Nastymix label, and gained fame with "Posse on Broadway." Collaborating with Rick Rubin at Def American, his album Mack Daddy went platinum. Despite facing challenges after its success, he continued to innovate, forming the rap-rock group Subset with Presidents of the USA. Mix-A-Lot's style blends humor with bass-heavy tracks in the hip-hop and novelty music scene.
