Soul II Soul, led by Jazzie B, emerged from London in the late '80s blending hip-hop, house, and R&B. Known for hits "Keep On Movin'" and "Back to Life," the group achieved Grammy wins, international acclaim, and U.K. chart success. Featuring rotating vocalists like Caron Wheeler, they released several successful albums and singles throughout the '90s. Despite disbanding by the decade's end, Jazzie B, awarded an OBE, continues to lead reunion performances.

Sister Sledge, from North Philadelphia, rose to fame with the disco anthem "We Are Family" (1979), working with Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards. Known for their versatile style, they excelled in pop-R&B, Philly soul, funk, and disco. Their notable hits include "He's the Greatest Dancer" and "Lost in Music." Craig Charles, born in Liverpool, England, is a versatile actor, comedian, and DJ. He is widely known for his roles as Dave Lister in Red Dwarf and Lloyd Mullaney in Coronation Street, and for presenting Robot Wars. As a DJ, he champions funk and soul music, hosting The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on BBC Radio 6 Music and performing live DJ sets. He won a national poetry award at 12 and his radio show earned a Gold Aria award.
