Formed in Santa Barbara in 1995 by Lynn Strait and Mike Doling, the hardcore metal band Snot released their debut album, Get Some, in 1997 and performed at Ozzfest in 1998. Following Strait's death in a 1998 car crash, surviving members released the tribute album Straight Up featuring guest vocalists.

The Fear

UK band The Fear blends metalcore and melodic alt-rock, inspired by Linkin Park and Oasis. Formed by old friends, their thoughtful lyrics tackle loss and growth.
