Preservation Hall Jazz Band, founded by Allan Jaffe in the 1960s in New Orleans, is iconic for its traditional jazz. Known for albums like "That's It!" and collaborations with artists like Foo Fighters, the band champions New Orleans' jazz legacy globally. Ben Jaffe continues the family's musical heritage, fusing Afro-Cuban and R&B elements into their sound.
Southern Avenue, a Memphis-based family band, mixes blues, soul, and gospel with powerful grooves and guitar. GRAMMY-nominated and Blues Music Award-winning, they feature Tierinii Jackson's dynamic vocals, harmonizing with sisters Tikyra on drums and Ava on percussion and violin. Israeli guitarist Ori Naftaly adds his raw Memphis sound. Named after a famous Memphis street, Southern Avenue tours globally, sharing stages with Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan. Known for uplifting songs, they deliver timeless, soul-healing music.
Philadelphia-based SNACKTIME gained fame with free outdoor shows in 2020, selling out clubs, supporting Portugal. The Man, and playing major festivals like Life Is Beautiful.
War, a funk group from Southern California, blended soul, Latin, jazz, blues, reggae, and rock into hits like "Low Rider" and "Why Can't We Be Friends." They collaborated with Eric Burdon and are known for albums like "The World Is a Ghetto." Their multicultural vibe and improvisational style earned them a lasting place in funk history. Despite lineup changes, War remains a concert staple, celebrated for their classic era from 1969–1975.
