Doug E. Fresh, a pioneer in human beatboxing, was born in Barbados. Known for his classic hip-hop hits "The Show" and "La Di Da Di" with the Get Fresh Crew. His albums "Oh, My God!" and "The World's Greatest Entertainer" showcased his diverse style. He collaborated with renowned rapper Slick Rick.
Louisiana's Tucka, "the King of Swing," is an R&B singer known for his "pillow talk" songs echoing the '70s and '80s. He began with Keith Frank & The Soileau Zydeco Band in 2007 and launched his solo career in 2008. Tucka gained fame with albums like Love Rehab and hits such as "Sex on My Mind." He has opened for acts like Mystikal and Lenny Williams.
Oakland's Lenny Williams, a soul icon with a unique voice, famed for hits like "Cause I Love You" and Tower of Power's "So Very Hard To Go." Honored with a BMI Songwriter’s Award alongside Kanye West, he continues to influence R&B. Now an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts, Lenny's soulful performances celebrate love globally.
Born in Ohio, raised in Alabama, and based in Georgia, Sir Charles Jones is known as the Undisputed King of Southern Soul. His blend of traditional Southern soul and modern R&B has produced hits like "Love Machine." Since his career began in 2000, his music has consistently charted on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Supported by Marvin Sease early on, he releases music independently, tours widely, and collaborates with his children.
