LineUp

Starship, formed from Jefferson Starship, are known for '80s hits like "We Built This City," "Sara," and "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now." Their pop/rock style earned them chart-toppers and gold singles. Originally led by Grace Slick and Mickey Thomas, the band underwent several lineup changes and disbanded in the early '90s. Despite legal issues over the band name, Thomas continues to perform Starship's music.
John Cafferty, hailing from North Providence, leads the Beaver Brown Band known for their blue-collar rock sound. They gained fame with "Eddie and the Cruisers" soundtrack, featuring hits like "On the Dark Side." The band's success included platinum albums and hits like "C-I-T-Y." Despite fading recording success, they maintain a strong live following. Cafferty's music style draws comparisons to Bruce Springsteen, influenced by classic rock and R&B.
Kansas City's '80s rock band Shooting Star, known for hits "You've Got What I Need" & "Touch Me Tonight," achieved modest success. Disbanded in 1985, they regrouped in 1989 with some new members.
