LineUp

Steel Pulse, formed in 1975 in Handsworth, Birmingham, pioneered British roots reggae with politically charged, Rasta-influenced music. Known for hits like "Handsworth Revolution" and "Your House", they won a Grammy for "Babylon the Bandit", becoming the first non-Jamaican act to do so. Their powerful sound advocates for social justice.
Sicilian-born reggae artist Alborosie (Alberto D’Ascola), born in Marsala in 1977. He formed Reggae National Tickets, moved to Kingston, Jamaica in 2003 for a solo career, and reclaimed “borosie” as his stage name.
Hempress Sativa, born Kerida Johnson in Papine, Jamaica, is a powerful voice in roots reggae, dub, hip-hop, and R&B. Known as "The Lyrical Machine," her conscious lyrics reflect Rastafarian spirituality. Popular songs include "Boom Wah da da Deng" and "Rock It Ina Dance." Albums include "Unconquerebel," "Scientist Meets Hempress Sativa in Dub," "Charka," and "Woman." She has collaborated with artists like Paolo Baldini Dubfiles and achieved global chart success.
