Stereo MC’s formed in the mid-1980s, blending electronic music and early hip-hop. They launched G Street Records, later signed to Island/4th & Broadway, and toured widely. Their 1992 album Connected became a worldwide hit, with the title track a classic.

Kosheen

UK live electronic act Kosheen broke through with hit Hide U from 2001 debut album Resist (platinum). Known for blending drum’n’bass breakbeats with traditional songcraft fronted by singer-songwriter Sian Evans; scored two UK Top Ten albums and chart-topping hits Catch and Hungry.
