Richmond, Virginia punk/hardcore band Strike Anywhere formed in 1999 with a political, activist approach. Boosted by Tony Hawk game placements, they scored strong sales with Exit English (2003) and Dead FM (2006), later releasing 2020 EP Nightmares of the West.

Endstand, a Finnish hardcore band known for their metallic edge, has been active in Europe since 1996. Notable albums include "To Whom It May Concern" and "Burning Bridges."
