Formed in Perth in 2004, Birds of Tokyo are one of Australia’s most popular contemporary rock bands. Top 10 airplay hits include Plans, Lanterns and This Fire. One of Triple J’s most played artists, they’ve won APRA Rock Work of the Year five times.
Missy Higgins is an Australian singer/songwriter unearthed by Triple J in 2002. She’s won 11 ARIA Awards and earned six #1 releases in Australia. Her ARIA Album of the Year The Sound Of White spawned hits “Scar” and “The Special Two.”
The Whitlams formed in 1992 in Newtown, Australia, led by pianist Tim Freedman. The Sydney act has released five consecutive platinum and gold-selling albums, including ARIA No. 1 Torch the Moon and Eternal Nightcap.
Summer Salt, known for their surf pop, bossa nova, and retro indie sound, blend sun-soaked melodies with introspective lyrics in albums like Reside and Sequoia Moon.
