SUO is the solo project of Brooklyn-based musician, singer, and guitarist Saara Untracht-Oakner, best known as the co-founder of the surf rock band BOYTOY. Launched as an outlet for her independent songwriting, the project blends indie pop, power pop, and rock & roll while exploring themes of identity and fluid energy. She debuted the moniker with her 2019 solo album Dancing Spots and Dungeons, followed by subsequent releases like her single "Lightning Strikes," showcasing a timeless, melodic, and groove-driven sound.

The Swamp

The Swamp, or Suo – Kävelyn tiellä, is a site-sensitive performance originating from Oulu. Combining nature with technology, this immersive experience involves sensory journeys through peatlands. Produced by Reality Research Center and Ferske Scener, it features a smartphone-guided forest trek. The work is recognized for its unique focus on ecological restoration and site-specific drama.
