Ten Hands emerged from Denton, TX, in the '80s, blending Zappa-influenced jazz-rock with punk. Known for energetic, funky tunes and political lyrics, they gained acclaim in Texas. Early collaborations included Matt Chamberlain and Mike Dillon. They opened for New Bohemians and won multiple Dallas Observer Awards. Despite attention from T. Bone Burnett, label issues stalled momentum. Albums include "Kung Fu...That's What I Like" and "Jazz for Jerks." Their playful, satirical style marked them as a standout Texas band.
