Bay Area thrash metal icons TESTAMENT return via Nuclear Blast Records with their fourteenth studio album, Para Bellum, a Latin-titled battle cry reflecting modern chaos through urgent, sharp, unflinchingly human music.
Fear Factory is an L.A.-formed extreme metal band known for a cinematic, dystopian sound blending staccato riffs, industrial-tinged drums, electronics, and a scream/sing split. Their 10th studio album, Aggression Continuum, includes “Recode,” “Distruptor,” “Purity.”
Hailing from Los Angeles, Thrown Into Exile is a heavy metal band blending melodic, death, and groove metal. Known for intense live performances and exploring themes of grief, their releases include "Safe Inside" (2016), "II: Illusion of Control" (2020), and the "Passageways" EP (2024). The band gained early recognition by winning the "Road to Mayhem" competition.
Spirit Adrift, formed in Mesa, Arizona, in 2015, became an Austin, Texas-based heavy/doom metal band known for Nate Garrett's vision and epic, crushing riffs. Kerrang! ranked them among the 2010s' top American bands. Their discography includes acclaimed albums like Curse of Conception, Divided by Darkness, and their final work, Infinite Illumination. They collaborated with artists such as James Murphy.
Los Angeles-based neo-classical metallers Exmortus blend metal with Beethoven-like sophistication. Known for Ride Forth and The Sound of Steel, they've toured with Amon Amarth and Children Of Bodom. Founded in 2002, Exmortus features guitarist/vocalist Jadran 'Conan' Gonzalez and are now signed with Nuclear Blast. Popular singles include Oathbreaker and Mind of Metal.
From Pomona, CA, Xibalba blends death metal, doom, & hardcore. Formed in 2007, known for albums like 'Madre Mia Gracias por los Dias' & 'Hasta la Muerte.' Influenced by Mayan themes.
Upon Stone, a melodic death metal band from the San Fernando Valley, California, revitalizes the classic 90s Scandinavian sound with modern ferocity. Known for their intense musical style, they draw inspiration from bands like At The Gates and In Flames. Their discography includes the EP "Where Wild Sorrows Grow," the full-length album "Dead Mother Moon," and the "End Time Lightning" EP. They have collaborated with artists like Brian Fair of Shadows Fall.
