The Animals, formed in Newcastle, England in 1963, achieved fame with "House of the Rising Sun." Known for their intense blues-rock style, they ventured into pop and psychedelia. Famous hits include "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" and "It's My Life." Inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
