Formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1986, The Afghan Whigs blend bone guitars with soul and R&B grooves. Led by Greg Dulli, they stood out in the early-’90s alt-rock scene; their tenth album Soft Control showcases their loud-yet-somber sound.

Ed Harcourt

Wimbledon, London-born pianist/vocalist Ed Harcourt makes literate Baroque rock and atmospheric pop. His 2001 debut Here Be Monsters earned a Mercury Prize nomination; later albums include Lustre and Furnaces. He’s collaborated with Paloma Faith and Marianne Faithfull.
