The Connells are a Raleigh, North Carolina rock band formed in 1984 by brothers Mike (guitar) and David Connell (bass). They broke through with 1993’s Ring, featuring “Slackjawed” and Europe hit “74-75,” and released Boylan Heights (1987) on TVT.

Dillon Fence

Dillon Fence formed in the late ’80s by UNC Chapel Hill and Wake Forest college students Greg Humphreys, Kent Alphin, Chris Goode, and Scott Carle. Their albums Rosemary and Outside In featured on MTV’s 120 Minutes with videos “Collapsis” and “Black Eyed Susan.”
