Emerging from post-punk roots in 1984, The Cult, led by Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy, became a major UK hard rock force. Despite challenges, they released albums like Sonic Temple, with notable tours and a revival on tracks like "Give Me Mercy." Known for their hard rock evolution, they remain influential.
