The Drones

The Drones, formed in Perth, Australia in 1997, are an influential rock band known for their raw, experimental, and blues-infused sound. Led by Gareth Liddiard, their music features dense songwriting and abrasive vocals, often exploring politics and social dysfunction. Their album "Wait Long by the River and the Bodies of Your Enemies Will Float By" won the inaugural Australian Music Prize. "Shark Fin Blues" was voted a top Australian song. They also earned AIR Awards and a Best Live Act award. Notable albums include "Gala Mill" and "Feelin Kinda Free".
