New York doo-wop group The Elegants scored a major hit with 1958’s “Little Star,” topping both R&B and pop charts. A white ensemble led by Vito Picone, they recorded for Hull, United Artists, Limelight, Photo, IPG, Laurie, with later mid-’60s editions.

The Happenings

'60s pop group, the Happenings, from Patterson, NJ, hit big with "See You in September" & "I Got Rhythm." Constant member Bob Miranda led them through TV gigs & stages shared with the Beach Boys, Roy Orbison, & more.
