The Human Rights

The Human Rights, formed in 2007 by Friendlyness in Toronto, blend modern roots reggae, lovers rock, soul, and dancehall. Known for opening for The Wailers and Gregory Isaacs, they feature powerful vocals from Tréson and a vibrant horn section. They worked with Big Sugar’s Gordie Johnson on their acclaimed 2016 self-titled album and released Reggae Strong in 2021, noted by Amplify Music Magazine as “their finest album to date.” With collaborations including members from The Heavyweights Brass Band, they continue to inspire with their unifying reggae sound.
