The Irish Rovers

The Irish Rovers are a popular Irish folk group formed in Toronto in 1963 by George Millar and Jimmy Ferguson. Known for hits like "The Unicorn," they became famous partly due to appearances in U.S. folk venues like the Purple Onion. Adding members like Joe and Will Millar, they achieved a Top Ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1968. Their lively style features humor and traditional tunes. Despite lineup changes, including the loss of original members, the band endures, recording under their own label, Rover Records.
