Martha Davis fronted The Motels, a band from Berkeley, formed 1971, renamed in LA, 1975. Known for hits "Only the Lonely" & "Suddenly Last Summer," the band earned two gold albums. After a 1987 split, Davis pursued solo projects and diverse musical collaborations. Reformed The Motels with some original members continue performing.

Bow Wow Wow

Formed in 1980, Bow Wow Wow is a British new wave band known for hits like "I Want Candy" and "Go Wild in the Country." Featuring Annabella Lwin, they infused music with Burundi drumming and provocative lyrics. The band left a lasting impact despite a brief initial run.

Gene Loves Jezebel

Born in Porthcawl, Wales, twin brothers Jay and Michael Aston formed Gene Loves Jezebel in London (1981). Known for goth influences, top indie hits like "The Motion of Love," and chart success with "Jealous." Frequent member changes marked their journey.
