The Movement has been winning the hearts and minds of alternative-reggae fans since their inception in Columbia, SC in 2003. Drawing inspiration from Sublime, 311, Slightly Stoopid, and John Browns Body, they’ve made a name for themselves as reggae shapeshifters with a foundation of heavy drum and bass. Today the band consists of founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Joshua Swain, bassist Jason Schmidt, drummer Gary Jackson, keyboardist/multi-instrumentalist Matt Goodwin, and saxophonist/percussionist Kyle Jerome. Their seventh studio album, Ways Of The World (2019) debuted at #1 in the Billboard Reggae Chart and remained in the Billboard Reggae Top 10 for more than 40 consecutive weeks.
From San Diego, California, award-winning reggae group Tribal Seeds have become known for their spiritually driven, refreshing rock vibe they have infused with the roots style of reggae music. Originally started by two brothers, Steven Rene Jacobo (lyrics, vocals, guitar) and Tony-Ray Jacobo (keyboardist, producer) in 2005 (though the idea came about in 2003), Tribal Seeds went through a lot of different members over the years. Currently, the band boasts six members, including: Victor Navarro (bass), Ryan Gonzo Gonzales (guitar, vocals), Luis Castillo (keyboards, vocals), Danny Lopilato (keyboards, vocals), and Zeb Dekofsky (drums).
Born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, Love was brought up in an environment surrounded by musical influence and the inspiring natural landscape of his island home. Forging a deep connection with nature, his message of returning to a more natural and spiritually grounded way of living was solidified at an early age. Growing up under the musical guidance of his father and grandfather, both composers, as well as his steel pan instructor Frank Leto and piano teacher Beth Uale, Mike's natural musical instincts towards melody and harmony were shaped and deepened. Mike started playing the guitar at age 15 and played in multiple bands throughout his teenage years, playing his first live gig with a band at age 16.
