Stanton Moore, born in New Orleans, is a drummer known for leading the funk band Galactic. Influenced by Professor Longhair and Zigaboo Modeliste, he collaborates with artists like John Medeski and George Porter, Jr. Moore's solo works include "All Kooked Out!" and "Groove Alchemy." He is a session drummer, works with Anders Osborne, and appeared on HBO's "Treme." His tribute album to Allen Toussaint, "With You in Mind," features Crescent City all-stars.
